Get to know the bond between Granada and the Catholic Kings and their legacy. Discover Granada’s charm on board our ‘Hop on & Hop off’ train

Useful information:

  • The Cathedral of Granada is the second biggest cathedral in Spain. Its High Altar stands out for being completely circular, no previous seen in architecture.
  • The Catholic Monarchs ordered to build the Royal Chapel as the place of their eternal rest. They, Juana the Crazy and Felipe the Handsome rest at the Royal Chapel.
  • The most well-known postcard of Granada is the Alhambra. This palatial city was built by the monarchs of the Nasrid dynasty and is characterized by its reddish colour.
  • The Arabic and Mediterranean architecture live at the Albayzin historical neighbourhood.

Discover more about the City of Granada and its history with this guided tour within the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel, two of the best examples of the gothic and renaissance style in Spain. Our official guide will go with and tell you the history of the city from the moment of the “reconquista” of Granada to the Muslims and its king Boabdil by Isabel and Fernando, known as the Catholic Monarchs. You will be fascinated by the works of art sheltered inside the Cathedral, such the tombs of the Catholic Monarchs, Juana of Castile (The crazy), Felipe I of Austria (The handsome) and the legacy donated by the queen Isabel of Castile. We will also visit charcoal store and the silk market.

You will also have all the day to discover Granada on your own path with the hop-on hop-off Granada City Tour Train. The train features a panoramic roof, open deck in summer, and on board audio guides in 12 languages (with 2 special kid’s channels in Spanish and English).
